It is hereby enacted, that it shall be lawful for the Governor. General of India in Council in his Executive capacity, to authorize the Governor of Prince of Wales Island, Singapore and Malacca, to receive in the said Settlements and the Resident Councillors of Prince of Wates
Istand, Singapore
and Malacca, to receive in each of the said Settlements respectively Convicts who have been duly sentenced. to transportation by any competent Court in Her Majesty's Settlement of Hongkong,
and that
every
such
Convict when so received at any such place, shall be liable to all such and
the same laws, Rules and Regulations
as are or
shall be in force in
any
such place with respect to convicts
transported from any place within the Ferritories subject to the Government of the East India Company
